Though the first day of winter is nearly a month away, this crazy weather sure makes you think it is already here. Maybe it's the snow that has many of our customers jumping right into Christmas.

I love Christmas, it's my favorite time of year. People seem to be more generous and kinder to each other, which is how we should be all year. Then of course there are the Holiday events and parties!

We Made it!

Well, it has been a week since we opened our doors here in Normandy Park; what an adventure! We're here and lovin’ it! The community has been so warm & welcoming and appreciates having a party store in the area.

Still a few boxes to unpack, but can you blame us? The new space is amazing, though it’s a tad smaller than our former home. If you haven't been in to check out the new shop, get here! New product is arriving weekly with fun greeting cards, party supplies and interesting items. The fresh paint, nice retail shopping location and "new store feel", gave the store a "magic" it needed. None the less, we made it, and have enjoyed every minute of it. We're looking forward to what the future has in store for us at our new home.

The Renton location will be open on Sept. 15th-October 31st for a huge sale, so keep on the look out for great deals and sale details!

Moving Date Change

As you all know by now we're moving! Things are bitter-sweet around here; we're sad to leave our home of 30 years, but excited to see what new things are in store for us! We have experienced a one week delay in our move, so now the shop in Renton will be open until July 10th and then we will be closed the 11th through the 13th as we will be packin' up all the treasures and moving to our new location. We'll re-open Wednesday the 14th, so make sure you get directions so you can come out check out our new digs! Be warned "party animals" will be roaming the store in a crazed and excited daze!

Its official! It’s finally here! The day has come for us to leave our wonderful faithful warehouse home and move into a new and beautiful retail facility in Normandy Park! We're all so excited and hope you are too!

"Party animals" are being unleashed everywhere and can't be tamed. We'll be open for business on Tuesday, July 6th, ready and rearing to go with fun new party supplies and decor. Don’t you just love hearing good news? I know I do. It’s fun to hear what fun things others have going on, you get excited too! Whether someone is expecting a baby, or just got engaged; or even little things like, getting a new puppy or winning a couple bucks on the lottery, it all makes me happy.

Next week it will be time for Cinco de Mayo. While it's a fun time to party and drink some tequila and beer, very few people know the reason for the celebration. Here's a bit of the history, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day, and it’s not an American drinking holiday, it is a day however to be remembered. On the morning of May 5th, 1862, four thousand Mexican troops defeated eight thousand French and traitor Mexican troops who intended to overthrow the newly organized government and essentially work their way up the United States. Though weak and small in number the loyal Mexicans held ground and ended up winning the battle. That’s why it’s such a party! A party to celebrate liberty and freedom, the two ideals which Mexicans and Americans have fought side by side to protect ever since 1862.

Decorating for Thanksgiving

For the retail industry it has become common to make a jump from Halloween directly to Christmas. Stores are displaying their Christmas decorations, Christmas music is being played and visits from Santa have started.

Let's not forget Thanksgiving! As family and friends gather for a feast the right decor can help set the mood. The autumn colors are a wonderful palette to use for decorating. Add some pilgrim or turkey decor or decorate with acorns, leaves and a cornucopia for a festive traditional look.

There is always plenty of cleanup after the meal, so why not give yourself a break and select Fall or Thanksgiving themed disposable plate ware for serving the desserts.

Costumes aren't just for Halloween or even Christmas anymore. Why not add a cool twist to your Thanksgiving holiday by dressing up or recreating the first Thanksgiving in costume. With Thanksgiving just a little over a week away I've been reflecting upon all the things to be thankful for. As with any business or life for that matter, there are ups and downs but making a conscious effort to keep positive and grateful for all is the place I want to be.

Today I want to say thank you to people whom I am grateful for. Nick & I are absolutely thankful for the wonderful employees we have. They all have their special niches and styles that blend to make an amazing team. So, thank you to Drake, Jennifer, Jerry, Shirley and Stefany for all their efforts.

Thank you to our wonderful landlord Chuck who has always been supportive of our business, works to assist us during Halloween with the craziness of the parking lot as well as throughout the rest of the year.

Thank you to our customers who support our business, some once a year and others many times throughout the year. It is fun to get to know you and it is our pleasure to serve you. It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas!

Christmas is coming, atleast the store is starting to look like it. Fun new items are coming in every day. Drake is resetting the front of the store to all Christmas decor and costumes. We added the following women's costumes today:

Holidays Are Almost Here!

What a great Halloween season! Thank you to all our customers who supported our business and made it a fun Halloween in spite of the concerns about economic conditions. We launched our new on-line shopping store http://shop.perfectpartycostumes.com/ the end of September. While it has been a slow start we are confident that momentum will build as people know we offer this service. It is convenient and a good way to see some of what is available in our actual store location.

We are currently preparing the store for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. For Thanksgiving we are offering fall patterned tableware, autumn leave decor and of course the standby centerpiece; the tissue paper turkey! For Christmas we have a variety of Santa Suits, reindeer, snowman and biblical costumes as well as decorations and tableware designed for the season.
